How to make Minion Bookmarks – great boredom buster idea for kids!
Our kids love Minions! With the upcoming release of the Minions movie, it’s all the kids talk about. Dare I say they’re almost obsessed with Minions as they were with Frozen? I never thought they would get over that movie! While I love me some Olaf, I’m quite smitten with minions. Earlier this week my daughter asked if we could make a few Minion crafts. We sat down to brainstorm ideas we wanted to try and I’m so excited to share them with you! We have several crafts and treats to share over the next week or two. Today we’ll start off by sharing these DIY Minion Bookmarks. We made these completely by hand – not cutting machine required to make your own.
I’ve added Amazon affiliate links to some of the products I used below.
DIY Minion Bookmarks
Supplies:
Yellow, blue, black and grey Cardstock
Moveable eyes
Glue
Black tassel
1-Inch circle punch
Crop-A-Dile
Corner Rounder
Step one: Trim yellow cardstock to 2 ¼ x 7 inches. Trim the corner of the top of your yellow paper with a corner rounder. The blue cardstock for the overalls will be 2 ¼ x 2 ¾ inches. Glue the blue paper on top of the yellow.
Step two: cut blue paper at an angle to create straps for the overalls. They don’t have to be perfect. Ours were slightly longer than the bookmark so I simply trimmed off the excess.
Step three: apply a black strip of cardstock for the goggles. You’ll need to punch two 1-inch circles from the grey cardstock as well. Glue the eyes on top of the grey circles. Use a small piece of black paper to create the mouth. We hand cut everything so all three bookmarks were slightly different. Minions have different facial expressions so get creative and have fun with this step!
Step four: use your Crop-A-Dile to make a small hole punch at the top. Tie your tassel on and you’re done!

My boys will love making these, thanks for sharing!
I’m dropping by from the Ginger Snap Craft link party. These bookmarks are so adorable! I think I’m going to make several to give to my grandkids! I’m sure they will love them.
