Cricut or Silhouette??

I really want a die cut machine but I’m having a hard time deciding on which one is the best deal. Does anyone have a Cricut

Or Silhouette SD?
What do you like or don’t like about it? I know cartridges for the Cricut can be pricey but don’t know much about the Silhouette. If anyone has any advice to offer I’d appreciate your input, thanks!  :)

I own a cricut. I really like it. You buy the cartridges when JoAnn's or Michaels have their sales. You can get them for $30-$40 then (can't use coupons, they have to be specific sales for Cricut). Also, if you know others that own a cricut, you can share cartiridges. You can also get the program that you can connect your computer to your cricut and do whatever design you want. I believe that is probably the cheapest route.

I have a cricut. There are lot's of sites out there where you can get a cartridge for around $30. Like Angeleffect said sales are good too. I got mine 2 years ago on Black Friday and it was $100. I kinda wish now I had got the larger one. I only have the 6 inch one now.

I use it more for making cards and different projects. It's crazy handy I think. I would like to learn to cut cloth with it. I think I need a different cutting tool but not sure.

I'm asking for a cricut for Christmas. A friend of mine has one and we use it for everything. We recently made the subway art that has been floating around blog world. I just can't decide if I want the larger one. Im curious to see what you decide on and how you like it.

Popped over and was viewing your blog. I love the Silhouette way more than the Cricute – I've used both. The Silhouette is way more cost effective in the long run – and as a crafting Mom I love the fact that I don't have to run out to the store to get an image (and pay $40 just for the one image I need). Silhouette charges $1/image and has clearance deals, etc. You can use all the fonts on your computer and download hundreds free, plus you can create your own designs really easy.
