Hello Kitty Birthday Party

My sweet little girl recently turned 2! We celebrated with a Hello Kitty birthday party. She is currently obsessed with Hello Kitty and I have to admit Hello Kitty is pretty cute. Did you know they make just about everything you can think of  Hello Kitty? Including a toaster..a toaster people! I don’t know about yours but my husband would totally be against the idea of me using a cat with a pink hair bow toaster in our kitchen.
Anyway, I didn’t get to take pictures of everything before the party started but here are a few :)
The pink fabric I found on clearance at Walmart for $1.50 score! The banner I made with my Cricut machine and hung it on a white foam board.

I made a vanilla buttercream frosting and bought the confetti sprinkles and Hell Kitty toppers at Party City.
I loved the pink and white gumballs
The cake pops and marshmallow pops were the kids favorites
Sorry, this is such a horrible picture of the tables before the party started. The balloons are held down by these cute little boxes I found at Target but forgot to take pictures of :(
She loved her pinata and cake
p.s. the boa was totally not part of her outfit..she just insisted on wearing it here haha

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to enter my current giveaway here

Hello Kitty Cake

My baby girl is turning two next week. Where has the time gone? I feel like we just celebrated her 1st birthday and now here we are getting things ready for her 2nd birthday party.

So hubby likes to create fun cakes for the kids and since Madi’s party theme is Hello Kitty he thought he’d make her a cake. He intended to bake a large sheet cake then cut out the shape and then I told him I had already picked up a Hello Kitty pan from Michael’s. He said that it’s cheating that way, but hey if I can simplify things I’m all for it. This is what we came up with…

We used a gum drop for the nose, licorice for the whiskers, and black frosting for the eyes.
We had a lot of fun decorating it. Madi kept sticking her finger in the frosting and saying “mmm it’s really good” haha
Last year her theme was Abby Cadabby and hubby made this cake all by himself (he used two cupcakes and a small round cake for this one).
I’m really excited for her birthday. I’ve been busy planning her party and searching for everything pink, white, and Hello Kitty. We’re doing a pink and white themed candy bar/dessert table and I can’t wait to show you guys.
Have a great weekend, thanks for stopping by!

Meet Baby Z

It’s been awhile since I posted and if you follow me on facebook you know why. Three weeks ago our family was blessed with this handsome little man…
I can’t even describe the love I have for this wonderful little boy. He’s everything we could have ever hoped for and the perfect addition to our family.
He weighed 7lbs 2oz and was 20.5 inches long
Don’t you just love how little their hands are when they’re this young?
Sorry for the lack of posting this past month, blogging has definitely not been on my mind. I just can’t get enough of this boy. I love watching his facial expressions and snuggling him in my arms. Jay and Madi are just as in love with him and are usually right there with me snuggling. I have to say I am truly blessed to have three healthy kids.
I wanted to say thank you to all my faithful followers who have stuck with me even through my lack of posting. But don’t worry you’ll be seeing a few party posts coming up. Madi’s birthday is next week so I’ve been busy preparing for her Hello Kitty themed party. So stay tuned to see hubby’s practice hello kitty cake he made the other night :)
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all have a fabulous week!!
