Mother’s Day Crafts {Guest Post}

I am so glad to be here at Crystal’s wonderful creative space sharing with you some Mothers day fun! I am Mari and I am over at Inspired by Family Magazine.  Our ezine is a place where you can be encouraged to grow, live, laugh and create!

Now for some fun! Enter into the wonderful imaginary world that our children like to live in with this easy craft. Enjoy these cupcake jars and Easter egg tea cups with your child for some Mother’s Day fun, Tea Party!  Even your little boys will get into this because what kid doesn’t like to pretend to do grown up things like sipping coffee or tea.

Cupcake Jars

Supplies:

• tissue paper
• baby food jar
• scrapbook paper with fun edges
• chenille pom poms -mini and large sizes
• glue

You will need to twist your tissue paper but not to tightly so you can get that fluffy icing look.

Twist and glue, twist and glue starting in the outer edge and then around towards the middle going upward.

You can choose either to insert your “cupcake liner” paper that you made from scrapbook inside as shown above or on the outside as shown below.

For the Tea Party!

You will need:

play doh

left over large plastic Easter eggs

For the saucers you will just need to shape your playdoh into round shapes.

and add little handles with the playdoh to the eggs.

Your kids will love this!

     Hi Susan, Thanks for the sweet comment. Actually, he’s not Crystals, he’s my little pumpkin but she does have a cutie.
     Yes, since it’s just a baby food jar adding candy or filling it with whatever butters your biscuit would be great. I am sure my little one would love to find a little surprise in his pretend cupcake.
