Hi friends! I’m in Chicago for the week to see my sister-in-law graduate from law school. We’re here for 6 days and I’m excited to explore the city. Any of my readers from Chicago? What are some must see places? I promise to take lots of pictures to share with you! I have a one quick project to show you today then two of my bloggy bff’s will share some amazing washi tape crafts later this week.
With the school year coming to an end I’ve been thinking about a teacher appreciation gift to make. I didn’t have a lot of time before I left but quickly came up with a gift that was pretty and functional for the classroom. Plaid recently sent me a box full of Martha Stewart paints and supplies which I used to create a stenciled sanitizer teacher gift.
I have used the Martha Stewart stencils before (remember my stenciled Halloween sign?) but have never tried the adhesive stencils. I had no idea what I was missing! These stencils are amazing, they adhere perfectly and prevent the paint from running. For my gift I bought a large bottle of sanitizer and removed the labels (I used goo gone to get the stickiness off). I applied the butterfly stencil and used a foam dabber and started painting.
