Handmade Gift Boxes and Tags

By now you may have noticed that I love handmade gift wrap, especially handmade party favors. I’m always excited to see new releases of Lifestyle Crafts cutting dies, especially if they can be used for gifts. This week I worked with dies from the Bloom and Grow release and core collection and let me just say, I’m in love with them!

I made this cute box with the Dessert Box die which can be used as a party favor or even a handmade gift box. There are two dies included and the assembling is really easy to do. Just fold at the lines, glue, and embellish! With the busy paper pattern I decided to keep it simple by adding pearl embellishments and Bakers Twine.

The new treat box die is also another favorite. This die is adorable and the possibilities are endless. I used a Martha Stewart punch, pearl embellishments, and Bakers Twine to decorate this one. Lifestyle Crafts has an array of Boxes and Bags available to use as party favors, check them out I promise you’ll love them!

Handmade gift wrap just isn’t complete without a handmade tag. I used an embossing folder to create an embossed gift tag. What’s great about the Lifestyle Crafts machines is that you can use any brand of cutting dies and embossing folders. I picked up this embossing folder at Hobby Lobby for $5. Once I had my embossed gift tag cut out I added the flower and bakers twine on top. I used the new Flower Die from the Bloom and Grow Release. You can see the rest of the line below, aren’t the flourishes pretty? I bet you could embellish a frame with some of those.

June Dairy Month

Last week I shared my chocolate chip cheesecake recipe and talked about the Safeway June Dairy Month promotion. In celebration of dairy month Safeway is giving away two free movie tickets when you purchase $40 on qualifying dairy products. The best part about the promotion is that you don’t need to purchase the $40 in dairy products all at once. Qualifying purchases will accumulate throughout the month of June then the catalina machine will print out a voucher with a code to redeem your tickets online. At the bottom of your receipt it will show you how much you have spent towards the $40, making it easy to keep track of your balance. Once your voucher has printed head on over to the site and click on the store you shopped at. The promotion is not only valid Safeway but also at it’s affiliate stores.

From here it’s just a few simple questions to answer and then you’re the owner of two free movie tickets! How awesome is that? You can save the tickets to see Ice Age Continental Drift or use them on any movie you’d like. The kids are really excited to see Ice Age next month so we’ll be saving ours until then. It’s going to be a fun family outing with a mandatory stop for ice cream afterwards. :)

If you’re  near a Safeway or one of it’s affiliate stores and want to take advantage of the promotion, look for the Ice Age tags. The tags helped me figure out what was a qualified purchased and what wasn’t.

Thanks for stopping by, I’ll be back later with a fun gift idea!
