Summer tends to last a long time here in central California, we’ve even been known to have 100 degree weather in October. That means my kids wear Summer clothes a lot throughout the year. It’s usually warm enough for Summer clothes in March so by June/July most of their outfits are worn out and need to be replaced. Having three kids means I try to find the best deals when shopping for new clothes but without sacrificing quality. That’s why I was happy to recently find out about Cookie’s Kids. If you haven’t visited their site before I suggest you check it out. They have so many choices and at incredibly low prices. I was very impressed with the selections available.
We had the opportunity to try out their clothing and let me just say, I had a hard time narrowing down my picks. There are pages and pages filled with cute clothes, especially for my daughter. OK I may be a little bias but we all know how much I like dressing her up. So naturally it was a lot harder to choose her outfits because there were so many to pick from.
I had fun creating outfits using Polyvore. This was my first time using the site but now that I have the “clip it” button installed I know it’s going to be a lot of fun to use. This is the dress I ordered for my daughter, it was only $5.99! I wish I would have ordered those shoes as well, they would match a lot of her current Summer tops.
If you ever see my daughter chances are she’s more than likely wearing a t-shirt, comfortable shoes, and cute skirt or pettiskirt. She seriously asks to put on a skirt every single day. She’s always been like this! Maybe it has to do with the fact that I put tutu’s on her since she was 2 weeks old. :) But regardless she would love an outfit like this one below.
I of course had to get the little one something as well. I wanted to get my oldest and youngest son’s matching shirts but the older boy wasn’t thrilled with the idea. Since I can still dress the baby up I wanted to get him something cute to wear on his birthday. This Nautica polo was one of their best sellers and I can see why. I was very impressed with the quality and it looks great with khaki shorts.
Here’s the little one wearing his new shirt. I seriously can’t get enough of this outfit, I like how classic the style is.
The little miss trying out her new hello kitty shirt. She still really likes Hello Kitty and luckily Cookie’s Kids has a lot of Hello Kitty shirts. You can see the rest of my favorite items on Google+.
I’m very pleased with the new outfits, the quality is great and you really can’t beat the prices. Plus their shipping is only $5! Here’s a little bit of a background I found out about Cookie’s Kids:
In 1972, a young man named Cookie and his brother Marvin went into
business together. They rented a 1600 square foot store in Jamaica,
Queens, fixed it up, bought inventory and Summer and Fall, and opened a
day after Thanksgiving with a full stock of holiday toys. The toys were a
success and they put the extra money toward buying children’s clothing
for the next season. When that did well, they bought more clothing. The
business was on it’s way.
partner in the business, began to open new stores in new locations,
inventory expanded. Besides the latest fashions, our customers wanted
shoes, toys, backpacks and accessories and we were prepared to deliver.
though they previously had different names, by that time they were all
named Cookie’s Kids. Also in the late ’90s came an important addition to
Cookie’s Kids’ inventory: school uniforms. It was the steady success in
uniform sales that paved the way for founding CookiesKids.com in 2007,
which originally sold uniforms and soon after the entire Cookie’s Kids
Inventory.
What are some of your kids favorite Summer outfits? Does your daughter love dressing up as much as mine does?
