Hey, hey there friends! I have something fun for you today. A few weeks ago Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores asked me if I’d like to share a craft with my readers and give away a $50 gift card. A fun Halloween craft that my kids would love and giveaway a gift card to one of my awesome readers? Umm, yes please! Oh and there’s even a 50% coupon at the bottom too! So here I am sharing an easy Halloween pumpkin toss game that is sure to keep the kids entertained long after Fall is over.
Jo-Ann was generous and sent me a box filled with supplies to make my pumpkin toss game. I wanted to customize it by decorating the pumpkins a little all while sticking to the basic tutorial.
I began by carving a hole big enough for the bags to easily fall in, then painted the inside white (making sure to sand the rim and inside of the pumpkins). I then spray painted the exterior of the pumpkins using Rustoleum satin white. The inside is also coated with a couple of layers of Martha Stewart glow in the dark paint, which makes this the perfect Halloween party game!
To give them a finished look I added ribbon, rick, rack, and black polka dots. I got the idea to use vinyl dots from my talented friend, Kristyn. For the numbers I used my Silhouette to cut the leaves and numbers out. If you don’t have a die-cutting machine there’s a printable template in the tutorial.
It then says to attach the pumpkins to the foam board with wire but I just hot glued them on. Shhh..it’s our little secret! My kids played with this for hours and those babies are not going anywhere.
The kids were so excited to play with our Halloween pumpkin toss game!
Right now is there perfect time to make this game, all of the Halloween items should be on sale. We plan to store it in the garage and bring it out for a fun rainy day activity during the winter months.
Now who’s ready for a giveaway? Jo-Ann is generously offering one lucky reader a $50 gift card!
Giveaway ends Tuesday, November 6th. Winner will have 48hrs to claim prize. This giveaway is not affiliated with Facebook in anyway.
Disclosure: I was provided all the supplies for this craft as well as a $50 gift card by Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores as well as the $50 giveaway gift card; however, all opinions are my own.
