I feel like I’m a little behind working on my Christmas gift list this year. My plan was to have everything purchased and wrapped by the first week of December but alas I’m not even close to being done. Granted we have another 20 days until Christmas (woah, only 20 days!) but we’re going on vacation to Disneyland next week, which leaves me with even less time. I’m starting to feel the pressure of getting everything finished so in the last few days I’ve been trying to be proactive about working on my list. This morning I finished buying the kids stocking stuffers, which I figure it would be easy to start small then work on getting the bigger things this weekend. Here are a few non-candy stocking stuffers ideas.
During the holidays the kids get so many treats from family, friends at school, and of course Santa that its important for them to remember to keep their teeth nice and clean. We all want our kids to have nice #HolidaySmiles right? Walmart has a display of Colgate toothbrushes that come with characters on them. My kids love the character battery operated toothbrushes so they were definitely a great find. My store had Dora, Spongebob, and Transformers which is great for the older two kids, the little guy isn’t old enough for the cool battery operated brushes yet. You can find out more about the toothbrushes on Colgate’s Facebook and twitter page.
I actually picked up a couple for my niece and nephew since the little miss was with me when I spotted them. I’m going back for another set for my kiddos when she’s not around. Santa can be so sneaky sometimes.
Books are always a must have stocking stuffer in our family. The kids really enjoy getting new books and its a great way to encourage them to take the time to read amidst all the fun new toys. My oldest is going to get the Harry Potter book set and the little ones are getting new Christmas books to add to our collection.
Dollar items make great stocking stuffers. I usually don’t find any dollar items at my local Walmart but Target always has a good selection in their Dollar Spot.
