Black and White Glam Pumpkin

This post is brought to you by DecoArt.
It may not be September yet, but I’m excited to get started on our Halloween decor! This black and white glam pumpkin was made using Americana multi-surface paint and a faux white pumpkin from Michaels. Black and White Halloween Decor

Every year I find that my Halloween decor style slightly changes. Some years I like black and orange, others black, purple, and green. Last year I began leaning towards classic black and white. I love the simplicity of the color combo and that it’s eerily creepy in a way. I go back and forth between a rustic, old black and white and a glam black and white with lots of bling!

Supplies:
Americana Multi-Surface Paint (in Black Tie)
White faux pumpkin from Michaels
Boo! rhinestones letters (Recollections brand)
paper mache hat
hot glue
Embellishments:
-ribbon
-feather with glitter picks

I started by painting two coats of Americana Black Tie multi-surface paint on my paper mache hat. I really like the satin finish, it has the perfect amount of sheen.

Halloween Crafts

While the paint dried I applied the rhinestone Boo! letters on the pumpkin.

Then once the hat dried I glued tulle trim around the base, tied a ribbon bow, and used a few glitzy picks to embellish it (the picks are also from Michaels). Love the little feathers and pop of purple in the mix!

In case you missed it, I also used the new multi-surface paint to make Chevron Halloween Treat Bags earlier this week. I’m excited to share more Halloween Crafts with you using the new paint line over the next few weeks!

The Americana multi-surface paint line is available at Michaels, A.C. Moore, Hobby Lobby, and other fine retailers. They’re also currently offering a rebate when you buy five paints!

  26. Hi, is the word “BOO” actually in a package by itself, or are they individual letters? I couldn’t find it at michaels. Also, I completely forgot to look at the hat. What size is it?
    Thank you

    • Erin » Hi Erin, the word Boo is in a package. I found mine behind the Halloween Martha Stewart crafts display. I believe it’s the Recollections brand, you’ll see rhinestone rolls and other rhinestone Halloween shapes next to it. I hope you find it, thanks for stopping by!

      • Thanks Crystal,
we did finally find them. But now, I can’t get the “Boo” to stay on. Did you have any problems?
