I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before but I have a never-ending love of notebooks. I keep them with me at all times. You could probably find one on my nightstand, in my purse, kitchen, and car right now. I’m a daily list maker and function on writing notes to myself. I don’t think my brain is capable of remembering things if I don’t write it down or have a reminder of some sort. I think my note taking is starting to rub off on the kids because they’re always asking for a notebook to write in. So when I discovered the Cinch tool a few years ago I became obsessed with making my own notebooks. The kids love these mini notebooks to play “restaurant” with and to take on long car trips. Today I’m sharing another DIY mini notebook tutorial made with pink and gold foil.
Supplies:
Minc machine
Minc pattern paper
The Cinch + spiral wire
Paper
Step one:
Trim your Minc pattern paper to 4×6 or any size you prefer. I like to use index cards to make these mini notebooks (they’re sized at 4×6). It makes things easier so you don’t have to trim a stack full of paper to fit your notebook dimensions. Once the paper was trimmed I went ahead and used the hole punch side on The Cinch.
Step two: apply pink and gold foil to the pattern paper. This step is simply placing your paper ink side up then placing your foil (foil side up) on top. You then run the folder through the machine.
Step three: put together your notebooks by adding the spiraled wire and using The Cinch to bind it all together.
The Minc foil applicator is available at most retail craft stores and on Amazon. I’m so excited to use this tool for the holidays! Can you imagine? Gold foil everything for Thanksgiving and Christmas!
