DIY Spider Web Halloween Wreath
Hey crafty friends! Are you getting in the Halloween spirit? We’re hosting a Halloween party this weekend and I can’t wait to see everyone in their costumes! To prepare for the party I’ve been pulling out all my Halloween décor and making a few things a long the way. It made me realize I haven’t made a Halloween wreath in ages. We needed to fix that. So today I’m sharing my DIY Spider Web Halloween Wreath.
My Halloween décor style has always been a mix of glitter and glam. I usually avoid the creepy and gory décor. Skulls usually aren’t my thing either, because let’s face it..they’re creepy. However, when I came across a glittery skull pick I knew I wanted to use it make a Halloween wreath. The idea for this Halloween wreath began with the glitter spider web, as soon as I saw it I knew it would be perfect in the center of a wreath. From there I added Spanish moss, more glittery picks and flowers.
Supplies:
Glitter wreath form
Spider web decoration
Fabric flowers
Spanish Moss
Halloween picks
Step one: hot glue Spanish moss to the wreath form. Be careful not burn yourself! Add Halloween picks/sprays on top of the moss. You can either bend the stems to press them into the wreath form or glue directly on top (that’s what I did). I’m using three different picks – a glitter skull pick, glitter branches, and black glitter leaves. Once your picks are glued in place add fabric flowers to the bottom. The flowers I’m using are clips that I found at Michaels. In fact, everything but the ribbon and wreath form are from Michaels.
Step two: finish your wreath by adding a ribbon through the top and gluing your spider web decoration to the back. I’m searching for a thicker black plaid/gingham ribbon to use but haven’t had any luck. In the meantime this will do.
