Hello, friends! I know most of us are in full holiday mode with Christmas right around the corner. I still have a few last-minute Christmas ideas to share with you but I also wanted to add in an easy New Year’s Eve project. For us New Year’s Eve is about dressing up in our comfiest pjs, snacking, and watching movies until it’s time to watch the ball drop. I also like to put together a little party table for the kids filled with snacks, party blowers, hats, and confetti. This year I’ll be adding disposable cups to our display. But not just any disposable party glasses…gold painted and glittered glasses! These make everything a little more festive and it’s a really easy way to jazz up your party display. I’m using disposable champagne glasses from the dollar store, dazzling metallic paint, and gold glitter. This easy New Year’s party idea is so easy to make and can be used for any party theme.
DIY Glitter Glasses
Supplies:
Dazzling Metallics in Medieval Gold
Decoupage
Gold glitter
Brush
Disposable glasses
Step one: Add 1-2 coats of paint on your disposable cups. Use painter’s tape to create crisp paint lines on your cup or just brush along the stem of the glass in various sizes. Allow paint to dry for a few hours.
Step two: add a thin layer of decoupage glue to the cup and pour glitter on top. Dry for 2 hours before handling.
I’m using pretty pink champagne in the pictures but we’ll be keeping it PG with sparkling cider on New Year’s Eve. :)
