3-ingredient Salsa Verde Queso dip – Serve this easy queso dip recipe made with cream cheese, Salsa Verde, and Monterey jack cheese as an appetizer at your next fiesta!Â
Growing up in a Hispanic household means I was introduced to bold flavors and traditional Latin-inspired meals at an early age. I remember my mother and grandmother cooking together in the kitchen and I wanted to be involved whenever I could. I’ve always enjoyed helping my mom prep meals and make homemade tortillas. One of my favorite dishes growing up was Chili Verde with homemade flour tortillas. Every time I make this meal for my family it brings me back to my childhood when I would stand on a chair to help my mom roll tortilla dough on a floured surface. My mother would heat the tortillas on a griddle and always allow me test the first tortilla to make sure our batch was perfect. Home cooked meals that bring nostalgic memories are my favorite and inspire me to create memories in the kitchen with my children, especially with Dia Del Niño (Children’s Day) coming up. Recently the kids and I made this Chili Verde Queso Dip that the whole family enjoyed.
This recipe is very simple and doesn’t require a lot of ingredients to make. To make this queso dip I used Herdez Salsa Verde, one 8-ounce block of cream cheese and half a cup of Monterrey Jack cheese. Once the ingredients are heated together and the cheese has melted you have a green chili cheese dip that’s perfect for serving with chips or a veggie platter.
