As summer approaches I’ve been making a list of summer activities to keep the kids busy. With ballet and seasonal sports on break it’s easy for the kids to rely on TV and YouTube for entertainment. We’re working on finding creative outlets that keep the kids busy and staying active during the summer months. As I mentioned in a recent post, family bike rides are an important part of our weekly routine. Lately we’ve been going on bike ride in the afternoon and a quick walk after dinner. It’s been a great way for us to bond, stay active, and limit our time spent using electronics. As the weather warms up it’s crucial to keep them hydrated during our activities. Nestle® Pure Life® mini 8oz water bottles are great when we’re on the go and perfect for the kid’s lunch boxes.
In addition to bike riding my kids really enjoy arts and crafts. My daughter has always enjoyed coloring, so I often make coloring pages for her to work on over the weekend. You can download the Mermaid Coloring Page HERE.
My oldest is at an age where coloring and crafting don’t appeal to him like it used. He does however enjoy drawing. I lack skills in the drawing department so I’ve always enjoyed watching him draw. We recently picked up a step-by-step drawing book that he’s really enjoying.
We’re proud to partner with Nestle® Pure Life® to share with you the Share Your Smile contest. As an active family we strive to encourage the kids to stay hydrated with water as their main source. According to the 2015 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, today beverages account for 47% of added sugars in the American diet. By replacing a 12-ounce, 140 calorie beverage with added sugar each day you can cut more than 50,000 calories in a year. Nestle® Pure Life® is encouraging families to think outside the bottle by hosting an interactive contest and kid-friendly bottle designs.
Nestle Pure Life invites parents to submit their children’s’ drawings in the Draw What Makes Them Smile contest. Their designs could be included in the 2017 Share-a-Smile bottle label collection. Two Grand prize winners will also receive a $25,000 college scholarship, a trip for four to Florida and Nestle Pure Life Water for a year! No Purchase Necessary Ends 6/6/16.
