DIY O Holy Night Christmas Star Decor made with vinyl.
Hello friends, I hope you had a great 3-day weekend! After a busy week of Christmas projects, I’m ready to start sharing what I’ve been working on. Get ready for tons of new holiday ideas this week. I’ll start with this “O Holy Night” Christmas star decoration and guess what? I have another giveaway for you guys! You can enter to win a Silhouette Cameo 3! More on that at the bottom of the post. So let’s get started on how to make this easy Christmas star decoration.
Supplies:
Star decoration (Home Goods)
Silhouette Cameo
Black vinyl from Expressions Vinyl
Clear Transfer tape
Step one: use your favorite font or a shape from the Silhouette store. This one is from the silhouette store but you could easily create your own with all the beautiful hand lettered fonts available online.
Step two: measure your star and adjust your lettering to fit in the center. Cut your vinyl and remove the excess.
Step three: apply vinyl using transfer tape. This vinyl linked above is my absolute favorite! The grid lines help align your vinyl perfectly.
That’s it! This took less than 20 minutes to make and is now sitting on my mantle with the rest of my Christmas décor.
Today I am joining in with other talented bloggers to share over 20 amazing vinyl projects with you all to celebrate the launch of Alexis of Persia Lou‘s new Craftsy Class – Silhouette Saavy: Venture into Vinyl, a brand new online video class that will teach you everything you need to get started cutting vinyl with your Silhouette. In the course, Alexis will walk you through creating eleven different vinyl projects. You will get all the cut files you need as well as video guidance for each step, and you will learn techniques such as layering adhesive vinyl, cutting large-scale decals, using the print and cut feature with printable heat transfer material, creating vinyl stencils for screen printing, and more.
Thank you to Expressions Vinyl for providing awesome vinyl to our awesome bloggers, and thanks to Persia Lou, Silhouette, and Craftsy for sponsoring our giveaway!
