DIY Unicorn Frappuccino Bath Bomb – how to make Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino inspired bath bombs with layers of pink, purple and blue. Then topped with icing, sprinkles and a classic green straw.Unicorns are all the rage right now, even Starbucks hopped on the bandwagon with their Unicorn Frappuccino. The colorful drink was all over Instagram last month for the short time it was around. The magical drink inspired my latest bath bomb – this unicorn frappuccino bath bomb made with layers of pink, purple, and blue is what all my bath bomb dreams are made of! You know how I always say this is my favorite bath bomb in almost all of my bath bomb posts? Well, THIS is definitely my favorite bath bomb so far. I’ve noticed Starbucks bath bombs around the web before, I’m not sure who created them first, but I think they’re adorable. I wanted to give them a try with my tried & true bath bomb recipe and I’m so happy with the way they turned out.

Step one: in a large bowl, mix dry ingredients together. Separate into three bowls and add pigment to each one.
Step two: mix melted coconut oil and essential oil; evenly divide between the three bowls.
Step three: spray a couple pumps of witch hazel until it can hold its shape when you grab a handful (see video above). Firmly press mixture into a small paper cup. Let bath bombs dry overnight before removing. I gently tore the paper cup away from the bath bomb but you could also try a small plastic cup.For the topping: create royal icing by combining meringue powder, warm water and powdered sugar. Use a 1M piping tip and bag to pipe icing on top of the bath bombs. Immediately add sprinkles and a 1-inch piece of straw; let dry overnight.I searched for the Starbucks logo online and sized it down to 1 inch in Word. Print & cut then attached with strong double sided tape (I’m using some from my scrapbooking supplies). The label slipped off a couple of the bath bombs but I wasn’t too worried since they were for myself and my daughter. Plus, I think the colorful layers look cute on their own.
- 1 cup baking soda
- ½ cup citric acid
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons epsom salt
- Pigment powder or gel food coloring
- 3 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
- 15-20 drops essential oil
- For the royal icing:
- 3 tablespoons meringue powder
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 5-6 tablespoons warm water
- In a large bowl, combine baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, epsom salt and a small amount of cosmetic pigment powder (less than a tablespoon) or a few drops of gel food coloring.
- Combine coconut oil and essential oil then stir into dry ingredients.
- Spray a few pumps of witch hazel until the mixture can hold its shape.
- Firmly press into a small paper cup. Let bath bomb dry overnight before gently removing from cup.
- For the icing:
- Combine meringue powder, powdered sugar and warm water in a stand mixer. Beat for 7-10 minutes or until icing is stiff. Add half a tablespoon of water at a time, if needed.
- Pipe on top of bath bombs and immediately add sprinkles. Let frosting dry overnight before packaging.
