Fall Decor {My Fall Vignette}

Fall is by far my favorite season for decorating, especially when it comes to decorating a Fall vignette. I love neutrals, and Fall’s beauty captures my style perfectly. On Friday I was lucky enough to go out of town on a date night with the Mr. and if you follow me on instagram then you know we headed to World Market for a little shopping.

So what did I buy? Well, a lot! The Friends & Family coupon they had this past weekend was pretty much the best coupon ever. After I checked out the first time I realized how much I saved so I put the bags in the car and ran back inside for more. My husband thought I was crazy but I couldn’t help myself. I picked up a ton of Fall and Christmas decor. Today I’m only going to show you the Fall decor I bought to create my Fall vignette, plus some of my favorite World Market finds.

My style is very simple, less is more focused. I also like neutral colors that don’t make my living room look too busy. Although, my living room did need a few patterned pieces because it was looking a little too simple. These yellow and grey pillows were the perfect addition. I really like the pattern and the colors are perfect for fall.

I just couldn’t walk away from these pillars and birch candles. The candles are going to be great for Christmas too!

I picked up this vase at World Market a few months ago and was happy to find these orange flowers this time around.

The twig star was actually part of their Christmas decor but I thought it could work for Fall as well.

A few small pumpkins the burlap table runner I made helped balance out all the dark pieces.

Purple & Mustard Yellow Fall Wreath

It’s finally fall here, the weather has cooled down to high 70s and I can’t get enough of it! This weekend we soaked up every bit of it by taking a trip to the pumpkin patch, baking, watching movies in our pjs, and of course running to Starbucks for a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Today I’m sharing with you my new Purple and Mustard Yellow Fall Wreath. I originally shared the wreath tutorial over on Crafts Unleashed and you may have seen it on instagram too.

Autumn Wreath

Supplies:

Grapevine Wreath
Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
Eggplant Ruffle Flowers
Fabric
Berry Picks
Pearl Embellishments

I began by gluing the berry picks onto the wreath. I took apart a pick I found at Hobby Lobby then used the smaller pieces to layout throughout the wreath. I used this same style of pick in my Fall Candle Centerpiece.

Once I had my picks in place I added a couple rolled rosettes made out of muslin. I added scrapbooking brads to the center of each rosette to fancy them up a bit. To finish the wreath I glued the purple flowers slightly overlapping the rosettes.

The wreath is pretty simple which signifies my style completely. The color combo is a little nontraditional but I really like it. I’m debating whether I should make a Halloween wreath to put up for the next few weeks or keep this one throughout the next month and a half.

Fall Candle Centerpiece

Fall has officially arrived in our house. I refuse to let the 102 weather ruin my enthusiasm for my favorite crafting, baking, decorating season. I’m still compiling plates and frames for my Halloween display but I hope to be done with it next week. I’m SO excited to see how it’s coming together. I found some adorable Halloween plates at Target along with a million other things. Seriously, I think Target is out to get me..or my wallet at least. I can’t seem to walk out of there without something to craft/decorate with every time I go..which of course is way too often. But before we jump into Halloween decor let me introduce you to my new Fall candle centerpiece.

Do you remember the unfinished wood tray I used for desserts at my sons Safari birthday party? With a little stain I transformed it into a beautiful fall centerpiece.

Here’s what I used to create the candle centerpiece:

I applied one coat of stain and let it dry overnight. I arranged the vases and wrapped the berry garland around the vases. I also took apart a pick and used it to fill any open spaces. Then came the hard part…figuring out where to place it! I can’t decide between a corner in my entry way or on my living room console table.
