Hey, hey there awesome friends! I’ve been so busy this week getting ready for CHA. Ahhh I’m so excited to share all the details with you. But before I get ahead of myself let me share with you a cute and easy Valentine’s Day gift idea that costs under $5 to make. Oh and guess what? Its from the dollar store! Are you a dollar store fan? It seems to be hit and miss with me. Sometimes I find some pretty cute things to craft with and other times I walk out empty handed. Then there are times when I walk in thinking I’m going in for something specific then come out with a bag full of things I didn’t intend to buy at all. Like this cute Message in a Bottle Valentine!

Seriously how cute is this Valentine idea? While picking up some Styrofoam balls at the dollar store I came across a Glass Message in a Bottle. I thought it was the cutest idea for a Valentine’s day gift! Plus it was only $1, how could you pass that up?

The original was not my style at all but after a little searching in my craft supplies I remade it into a cute pink vinyl heart covered bottle.

There’s pink confetti hearts inside as well as a little love note tied with pink bakers twine for my sweetheart. The pom pom trim and ribbon are from Hobby Lobby and the confetti hearts are from a Lifestyle Crafts die.

I used my die cutting machine to cut half inch size hearts in two different pink colors of vinyl. If you don’t have a cutting machine another great option is to use stickers. You can find all sorts of cute heart stickers for about a dollar everywhere from the craft store to the grocery store. For the note I used scrapbook paper, because you guessed it..there are pink hearts on it! :)

Thanks for stopping by!
