How to make a chicken wire frame for instagram pictures.
Hey crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a quick tutorial on how to make a chicken wire frame to display pictures. I started noticing chicken wire frames on Pinterest a couple years ago and finally decided to make my own. It’s fairly easy to make and is a great way to display Instagram photos. I wanted to create a frame to display our summer vacations. I used iPhone and instagram pictures that have been sized using PicFrame. You can find the tutorial on how to print instagram pictures.
To make the frame I found an unfinished wood frame at Michaels and used Americana chalky finish paint (also at Michaels). The white chicken wire is from Consumer Crafts. It comes in a large roll that I cut with thin snips. To attach the chicken wire to the frame I’ve used a staple gun.

Step one: paint frame using Chalky Finish paint. This is my favorite paint line right now! It goes on smooth and covers the frame in one to two coats. It also dries really fast so you’re not waiting long between coats.
Step two: use a staple gun to attach the chicken wire to the frame.
Step four: Use small clips or clothespins to attach pictures.
That’s it! This chicken wire frame was really easy to put together. I love the vibrant teal color of the frame too. It’s such a great way to display pictures or notes. I plan to switch the pictures out every season or holiday.
Thanks for stopping by!!!
