Hey friends! Today I’m sharing my beach packing essentials when traveling with kids and a beach art printable.
If you follow me on instagram you may have noticed we took a trip to the California coast last week. The days spent dipping our toes in the ocean while walking along the shore were pure bliss. I’ll never get tired of listening to the sound of waves crashing and feel the ocean breeze whip through the air. Our trip to Santa Cruz was exactly what we needed to start our summer. It’s been hot here in the valley, which made the coast all the more appealing. Of course when traveling with toddlers I have a list of essentials that ensure our trips to the beach are as smooth as possible.
Beach packing essentials when traveling with kids
Huggies Clutch ‘n’ Clean wipes
sanitizer (for those moments when hunger strikes after playing in the water and sand)
baby powder (trust me, this is the easiest way to remove sand from your feet!)
lotion (in case of sunburn)
first aid kit (I always keep these $1 kits on hand in case someone steps on a sharp item)
beach toys for building sand castles
water and snacks
The new clutch n’ go wipes is a pure genius idea! The stylish clutch makes it easy to carry a diaper and wipes without bringing along a larger diaper bag. Even if your children are reaching the potty trained stage they come in handy for keeping hands clean while on the go.
In honor of creating new memories of dipping my feet in the sand with the kids I made a printable with one of my favorite song lyrics. It’s a 90s song and no joke I didn’t realize what the rest of the song lyrics were saying until I was in high school. Uhh yeah, let’s just say the rest may not be all that appropriate but we love singing this part of the song every time we’re at the beach….
I believe in the sand beneath my toes
the beach gives a feeling, an earthy feeling
I believe in the faith that grows….
What are some of your beach essentials?
