A circle, a square, and a triangle..

Has it really been 3 weeks since I’ve blogged? Ugh, fail! I’ve come to realize that blogging, for me, is one of the mommy pleasures that gets put on the back burner sometimes just like getting pedicures and reading a good book in peace and quiet. I’m lucky if I get to grocery shop alone :)
Lately I’ve been focusing on a lot of learning activities for Madi. I’m pretty sure I’m bias but I swear this kid is a genius. Right now I’m working on colors and shapes with her. So I made these to help her learn…

Let me just say…I despise that red circle! I thought cutting it was a pain but sewing it, ha, what a nightmare! I guess I need to keep working on my sewing skills because this was no easy task for me. The square and triangle were a piece of cake, but that circle had me questioning whether Madi even needed to learn what a circle is haha

I used two sheets of every color and cut them into shapes

Then stuffed and sewed them up
The circle is far from perfect, but at least it looks like  circle..right?
She keeps calling them pillows and hugging them, I take it she likes them :)
I’ve seen people make felt numbers before but I figured we’ll start out with shapes and move on to numbers when she gets a little older.

I also wanted to thank everyone for the links to how to spice up my blog, I’m going to hopefully work on doing that soon. Have a wonderful weekend everyone! It’s near 70 here so we’ll be spending a lot of time outside soaking up the sun.

These are so cute. They remind me of ones we had when we were young. My mom had made shapes for us in bright colors. I love it.

Those are cute! I hear you on sewing circles (good on you for attempting, you're ahead of me!) and the blogging as a luxury thing. Sigh, if only there were 4 extra hours every day that could just be Mommy hours.

Sewing circles is so tricky! These are really great for teaching shapes…

I'd love if you could link them up to my party:

    Hope to see you there!
