Hey crafty friends! Do your kids still enjoy singing along to Frozen? I don’t think my kids will ever stop with the Frozen craze. But that’s okay because I can bust out in singing mode along with them. In fact, we can’t wait to see Elsa and Anna at Disneyland next month. To prepare for our Disneyland trip I made my daughter Disney Frozen autograph books.
To make the autograph books (or Frozen journals) I used the new Cricut Explore One machine. The Explore One, which is available at Michaels, comes with the free Cricut Design Space software that allows you to cut printable images, upload your own images and fonts, and 25+ free 1-click projects. You’ll also receive 50+ free images! My favorite thing about the Cricut Explore One is that it can be used for more than just scrapbooking. Think home décor, party decorations, wall decals, and more!
Supplies:
Cricut Explore One (Michaels)
Glitter Cardstock (Michaels)
Silver Glitter Vinyl (Michaels)
Blank journal
Glue
Snowflakes & rhinestone embellishments (Michaels)
Step one: resize your Frozen shapes to fit the size of your journal (I found mine at the Target dollar spot). For the Elsa image I clicked on “mirror image” so that she was facing to the left. This isn’t necessary; I just like the way it looked. Cut your images on the highest cardstock setting.
Step two: Carefully apply the glitter vinyl to your journal. When I say carefully, I mean really, really slowly and only peeling the backing off a little at a time. Here’s a quick recap of my thoughts while working with this glitter vinyl:
“oh, this is pretty. * Removes from package * Hmmm…this is kind of thin, I hope it doesn’t peel off easily. Oh, oh okay this is REALLY sticky. Oh, asdkjaoiefoidioefa, that’s really sticky and hard to take off. Hmm…air bubbles, not good. Let’s try this again. Ahhh, so much better.” So as you can probably imagine my first attempt was a total disaster. I think if I was to only cover the front it would’ve been easy peasy. The fact that I wanted to wrap from front to back in one piece made it a little more difficult. The second attempt was much better. I just peeled off a corner and aligned it with the corner of my journal, then slowly peeled away the backing while smoothing down the vinyl.
Step three: glue your cardstock Frozen shapes on the front of the journal. You’ll want a heavy duty glue so that it can adhere to the glitter vinyl.
Step four: add snowflakes and rhinestones to embellish your journal. If you’re having trouble with the rhinestones sticking to the vinyl use a small amount of hot glue.

You are such a talented gal, the things you make floor me. Whenever i open your posts am always pleased at what I see. I had to save this so when i buy my cricut I’ll know what to do, maybe since i”m digitally challenged. Have to have somebody show me step by step and write it down.
Those autograph books are so awesome, you did fantastic job putting them together. Will be so special for your girls.
Lucky you and family going to Disney World soon.
Enjoy rest of week
