Create handmade gift card envelopes this holiday season in under 5 minutes with the We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board.
Hey crafty friends! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Did you brave the crowds on Black Friday? I surprisingly didn’t make it out. My husband went out early Friday morning and picked up everything on our list and was home before I woke up. Gotta love that guy! I’ve been battling a little bit of a cold this past week and going out in the crowds was the last thing I wanted to do. Thankfully the hubs picked up what I needed and my shopping is 75% done. The majority of the items on my list left will be gift cards along with a few handmade gifts.
Remember the DIY envelope tutorial I shared earlier this year? Well I used my We R Memory Keepers envelope board to create Christmas gift card envelopes. These take minutes to makes, that’s with a little embellishments added. I have to say this punch board has become one of my favorite tools this year! I use it to make gift card envelopes quite often and even the occasional birthday card envelope.
To make the envelopes I used the punch board, 5×5 inch paper, and a sticky thumb adhesive runner.
I trimmed my paper and aligned it to 2inches by following the measurements on the punch board.
Once the paper had been scored and punched I turned the board over to create rounded corners with back of the punch. Love that feature on the boards!
I like to trim the center flap of my envelopes like the one on the left. It makes it easier to slip a gift card in and I think it looks cleaner. :)
I have been wanting one for a while now. Hope Santa will bring me one this year. :)
You’re so talented. I’m usually all thumbs when it comes to crafting.
Beautiful!!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful tutorial. I have this tool and love it. I know who ever wins it will enjoy using it. My favorite thing about this tool is when you make a card you know you will have an envelope to fit.
