DIY Conversation Heart Soap – how to make mini conversation heart soaps for Valentine’s Day.
Hello friends! It’s taken me a while to get back into the swing of things post-holiday madness. Usually I overwhelm myself during the holidays then take an extended amount of time off to get my creative juices flowing again. This past holiday season I scaled back to allow myself to fully enjoy the holidays and now I’m feeling restless and ready to get back into the swing of things. But I have to admit, I’ve been in a bit of a creative slump. There’s not a lot of creative things to focus on in January so I decided to jump right into Valentine’s Day. Next week I plan to share a couple of printable valentine’s day ideas and a fun recipe. In the meantime, I have a quick and easy Conversation Hearts soap recipe to share with you.

1lb Goat’s Milk Soap Base
½ tsp Cosmetic Mica Powders or soap dyes
Conversation Heart Mold – from Michaels
10 drops Essential Oils – this is my favorite but —> this oil would also be a great option for Valentine’s Day
- Melt soap in a large microwave safe bowl or over a double boiler.
- Separate melted soap in small bowls or disposable cups. Add in cosmetic mica powders and essential oils to each batch.
- Pour soap into silicone mold and allow soap to harden before removing.
It took two batches to get enough hearts in the colors I wanted. In the end, I used a little under 1 pound of soap and had about 6 soaps of each color. The good news is they harden fairly quickly. To speed up the process, place them in the refrigerator. Once the soap has hardened you can place them in a jar or cellophane bag to give as gifts.
How big are the soaps?
Such a sweet handmade DIY natural soap idea. The pastel colors, sayings and heartshape is adorable for everyday use. ♡’ing it! Thank you for sharing this Crystal.
