DIY Easter Egg Wreath – create a beautiful spring wreath with moss, Easter eggs, and flowers.
DIY Easter Egg Wreath
The weather in California has been absolutely beautiful over the last few weeks. In fact, we had our first rainstorm this weekend after a month of warm sunny days. With the flowers blooming and 70-degree weather it’s felt like spring for a while now, which makes me want to bring beautiful flowers indoors.
Since I tend to have a black thumb I use a lot of fake flowers to decorate my home with. I’ve recently started incorporating more flowers and Easter décor in our home. One of my favorite new additions is this Easter Egg Wreath I made.
When I started planning this spring wreath I wasn’t sure the direction I was going with it but I knew I wanted moss and flowers throughout the wreath. I picked up a couple of bundles from the craft store to start with.
I decided to use a grapevine wreath that would show behind the moss and eggs. I love the layers of the grapevine, moss, eggs, and small flowers. The finishing touch is a big floral print bow using this beautiful ribbon found at Michaels.

How to make an Easter egg wreath
Supplies:
- Grapevine Wreath
- Moss
- Painted Eggs
- Flowers stems
- Hot glue
- Add moss to the top of your wreath using a hot glue gun. Be very careful with the moss and glue! It’s easy for the glue to seep through the moss and burn yourself. I only used one package of moss. I simply tore it into 3-4 sections and wrapped it around the wreath.
- Hot glue the eggs onto your wreath.
- Add the flowers to fill empty spaces. Use hot glue and a small amount of moss to help cover any faux stems.
- Make a bow and use floral wire to wrap the bow around the wreath.
What do you think? It’s added a little festive spring décor to our entryway.
