DIY Marquee Letters – create your own marquee letters in a few simple steps with the new Heidi Swapp Marquee Love line available at Michaels.

DIY Marquee Letters

Hey crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a craft project I’ve wanted to try for a couple years now. Have you noticed how popular marquee letters have become over the last year? It’s been on my craft to-do list for a long time now and today I’m sharing an easy way to make your own. I have to admit my procrastination on making marquee letters is mainly due to not wanting to pull out the drill. Quite lazy of me but I’m still not fully comfortable with power tools so I’ve put it off for the time being. Now there’s no need for power tools to make your own marquee letters! Michaels stores carries a new line from Heidi Swapp that makes DIY marquee letters in a few simple steps.

Marquee Letters
Step one: the letters come with a template that you can use to trace your cardstock. You can glitter or mod podge any kind of paper material you prefer. I used pink and gold glitter from the Heidi Swapp line on two of the letters. The rest of the letters are covered with scrapbook paper from the same line. I chose to keep mine pretty simple but you could spray paint or glitter them as well.

The best part about these letters is that you can hang them on the wall without worrying about cords. Mine are going up in my craft space as soon as I finish a giant frame, they’ll be hung directly on top. I’m slowly working on it but I promise to share my craft space organization with you soon! ;)

Gold Marquee LettersMaking your own marquee letters couldn’t be any easier with this new marquee line available at Michaels. Along with the letters of the alphabet they have an ampersand, arrow and star that I think would look great in a kids room. Since the letters are white and have a paper base the possibilities are endless when it comes to creating marquee letters that fit your style.

I love your marquee letters! I just bought a few of them at Tuesday Morning and am looking forward to decorating them in a similar way.
