Easter Dessert Candy Board
Over the last few years, we started a tradition of making an epic candy board for every holiday. Sometimes we stick to a traditional charcuterie board, but with all the fun treats available seasonally it’s fun to put together a dessert board for the family to enjoy. It’s also a great way to share an abundance of treats when you’re entertaining family and friends.
This year I picked up Easter candy as soon as they were available in store. I started brainstorming fun ideas to make for Easter. Then life happened. Needless to say, the past month has been unlike anything we have experienced before, and Easter will look a little different this year.
Since I already had a lot of candy on hand I wanted to keep with tradition and make the dessert board. Even if it meant our family was the only one who could enjoy it. I decided to put together this dessert candy board for us to enjoy the week leading up to Easter.
We have been watching a family movie together most nights and it’s fun to bring out the board for everyone to pick a treat from.
Dessert Candy Board
This Easter dessert board is filled with festive treats like Cadbury mini eggs, chocolate bunnies, Peeps, and our favorite Cadbury egg dip. We also added a few Homemade Chocolate Marshmallow Eggs to our dessert board.
Here is a list of what we included in our holiday dessert board
- Cadbury Egg Dip
- Homemade Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Eggs
- Chocolate Bunnies
- Cute spring-themed chocolate candy: ducks, ladybugs, bees, carrot umbrellas
- Peeps
- Cadbury Mini Eggs
- Chocolate Caramel Robins Eggs
- Bunny graham crackers
How to assemble a dessert platter for Easter
- Start by selecting a board to display your desserts on. I like to use a round board (pssst…it’s actually a lazy susan) and it’s been great for every holiday board we have made. Use what you have on hand or try this beautiful board.
- Add 2-3 ceramic dishes to hold dips and candy in.
- Assemble the desserts starting around the perimeter then filling in towards the center. Make sure the treats are nestled in closely.
- There is no right or wrong way to do this. Have fun with it and look for cute holiday candy to use.
