Finding Dory Bookmarks – DIY bookmarks made with glitter, sequins, and Finding Dory stickers to create an ocean themed bookmark for kids.
Hey crafty friends! Are you ready for another Finding Dory craft idea? If you follow me on snapchat (pumpknaprincess) you may have had a sneak peek of today’s post. I worked on a Finding Dory party a couple weeks ago and I can’t wait to share the details with you soon! These Finding Dory bookmarks were one of the party favors I made for our party. They’re made with scrapbook paper, clear photo sleeves, stickers and sequins. Kids can shake the bookmarks and watch the glitter/sequins float around the “ocean” and Dory. They make a great summer boredom-buster idea and Finding Dory party favors.

How to make Finding Dory Bookmarks
Supplies:
Fuse tool
Clear sleeves
Scrapbook paper
Glitter
Sequins
Finding Dory stickers
Crop-A-Dile Eyelet Punch
Ribbon
Step one: Trim scrapbook paper to desired size (mine are 1.75 x 6 inches). I’m using this water printed scrapbook paper but you could also use plain blue if you can’t find an ocean themed paper at your local craft store. Add Finding Dory stickers to your paper.
Step two: place your trimmed paper into your sleeve. I’m using clear bags that are designed for storing stamps and cutting dies, but you can find photo sleeves that are essentially the same thing. Align your paper inside the sleeve so there’s a tiny amount of space on both sides. This will be where you fuse the plastic sleeve close. Make sure to heat your FUSE tool beforehand and then use the ruler to guide your tool along the seams. Important: don’t fuse the top seam until the end! Tip: if you realize your plastic isn’t sealed correctly after adding the sequins you can go back and slowly run the fuse over the area. Going over the plastic slowly will help melt the plastic together, ensuring you don’t have any holes for your sequins to fall out of.
Step three: once your seams on the sides are closed, begin adding glitter and sequins. I probably added a little too much…but I like sparkly things and couldn’t help myself. The glitter and sequins will move around more freely if they’re not packed in there.
Step four: seal the top with your FUSE tool. Trim the edges if needed.
Step five: use your crop-a-dile tool to add an eyelet to the top of your bookmark. Knot ribbon through the eyelet and you’re done!
My kids LOVE these bookmarks! They are using them for their summer reading and have a lot of fun shaking the glitter and sequins around.
