Are you hosting a Halloween party this year? I’ve always wanted to host a Halloween party for my girlfriends and I’m trying to fit it into our busy October schedule. If we’re able to make it happen I will definitely have these Halloween witch shoe treat boxes as party favors. I came across this file in the Silhouette store and I couldn’t wait to try it out.
To make the favor boxes I cut my shapes out of thick black cardstock for the inside of the shoe and patterned paper from Echo Park. Note: when cutting your shapes cut one side of the shoe with the pattern you’d like the shoe to be. Then flip your paper over and cut the shape again. Of course this is only if you’re using patterned paper, to ensure the patterns match on the outside of the shoe.
Glue your inside box together by folding the perforated tabs on the black cardstock. Then glue your patterned pieces to the outside of the box.
To give it a finished look I added rhinestone embellishments and beaded trim around the shoe. I used a very thin line of hot glue to apply the trim, it was a bit tedious but I love the result!
This witch shoe treat box is such a fun Halloween party favor, you could also use it as a gift for co-workers or as a teacher gift!
Thanks for stopping by!
This is a fantastic project, the papers you selected are gorgeous which really adds to the witches shoe…
I love my cameo… I linked over from the Inspiration Board Creative Party where I am participating too with Spooky Spider Card and would love it if you’d stop by.
Hugs, Antonella :-)
