How many bars of soap does this make using the 2lb soap block. I was going to attempt to make these as baby shower favors and need to make about 30. Please let me know. Thanks!

In reply to Lisa Bertolini. I can still remember my Grandma and Mom putting lavender soap in their undies drawer. Sometimes they had sachets with the bids tied with ribbon made of chiffon.

Did you happen to cut up your soap base of grate it, before you melted it?

In reply to Tonya Edwards. Hi Tonya, I wouldn't recommend the crock pot unless you plan to use it only for soap making. You can definitely use the microwave! i would keep an eye on it and stir every 30 seconds unit completely melted.
