Handmade gifts under $10 – peppermint hot cocoa mason jar gift with printable gift tags.
Hey crafty friends! Are you ready for holidays gift ideas? As I mentioned yesterday I’m starting holiday posts a little early around here and my Christmas tree will be up on November 1st. I’m excited to share with you some new Christmas decorating ideas and handmade gifts to make. This month for the Cricut Design Space Star challenge our group selected under $10 gift ideas for our theme. As soon as I heard about the new print then cut feature on the Cricut Explore I knew I had to give it a try. Today I’m going to share this printable christmas tag and show you how I made my tags using the Cricut Explore.
Ingredients:
hot chocolate
Andes peppermint bits or candy cane pieces
white chocolate chips
miniature marshmallows
mason jar mugs
Merry & Bright Christmas Tag
While looking through the Design Space software I came across a variety of Christmas tags, sentiments, and shapes. I created my own tags by layering the shapes and attaching them together. You’ll want to “flatten” the shape by creating a box around all layers then clicking attach. I made ornament tags by using a Merry Christmas shape and ornament shape attached together. I’m really excited about this new feature because it allows me to customize the colors and designs to my liking. Once you have the colors selected make sure you have it under print not the regular cut option.
sidenote: the lines you see through the tags below are from my printer acting funky. You can see in the screen shot above the images will perfect, unless your printer keeps messing up the paper like mine. :)
I found this pretty chalkboard tag and knew it would pair well with a hot cocoa gift. This tag was all ready to go, no need to flatten the image or change the design. I simply printed the tag then place the paper back on my Cricut mat to cut.
I used Photoshop to create the Merry & Bright tag. If you don’t have a Cricut explore you can still download the tag to cut on your own.
If you have a Cricut Explore and have tried the Print then Cut option let me know what you think or share what you’ve made! I’d love to see it!
you always have the cutest holiday ideas! LOVE it
Love, love, love it!! I love that it is a peppermint hot chocolate recipe! The tags are so cute. I would love to get this as a gift :)
Found this post from Take-a-look Tuesday Link up. These are adorable! I’m always looking for something cost-effective and easy to give random people at my husband’s family’s Christmas party. I never know who is going to give us a gift, and it’s always awkward to not have something to give in return. These would be perfect.
So pretty and perfect for the holidays!
