Hey, hey there friends! I have something fun for you today – an easy Halloween pumpkin toss game that is sure to keep the kids entertained long after Fall is over.
Jo-Ann was generous and sent me a box filled with supplies to make my pumpkin toss game. I wanted to customize it by decorating the pumpkins a little all while sticking to the basic tutorial.
I began by carving a hole big enough for the bags to easily fall in, then painted the inside white (making sure to sand the rim and inside of the pumpkins). I then spray painted the exterior of the pumpkins using Rustoleum satin white. The inside is also coated with a couple of layers of Martha Stewart glow in the dark paint, which makes this the perfect Halloween party game!
To give them a finished look I added ribbon, rick, rack, and black polka dots. I got the idea to use vinyl dots from my talented friend, Kristyn. For the numbers I used my Silhouette to cut the leaves and numbers out. If you don’t have a die-cutting machine there’s a printable template in the tutorial.
It then says to attach the pumpkins to the foam board with wire but I just hot glued them on. Shhh..it’s our little secret! My kids played with this for hours and those babies are not going anywhere.
The kids were so excited to play with our Halloween pumpkin toss game!
Right now is there perfect time to make this game, all of the Halloween items should be on sale. We plan to store it in the garage and bring it out for a fun rainy day activity during the winter months.
I love making jewelry so I would start with some Swarovski beads!
I would buy pine wreaths for the holiday season.
I’d buy grey & yellow fabric to cover a chair.
