Rice Krispies® Wreaths – a holiday spin on the classic Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® treats recipe. Kids will love these mini Rice Krispies® wreaths decorated with holly leaves and berries.
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies®. As always, all opinions are my own.
The holidays tend to bring nostalgic memories of baking with my mother. Every year we would look through her cookbooks for our favorite cookie recipes as well as our traditional family recipes and make a day of it. Speaking of old cookbooks, I’d love to get my hands on those. Back then they were at least a decade or two old and very well loved. It would be fun to create some of the recipes from my childhood. Another treat we made every year is Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® treats. I remember the first time my mom taught us how to dye the treats a green color then cut them into mini Christmas trees. We then added frosting and small candies for the ornaments. We loved making them along with our favorite cookies, fudge and gingerbread house. One year we made Rice Krispies® wreaths and we soon turned it into a yearly tradition that I now make with my children. Today I’m partnering with Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® to share this easy holiday treat you can make with kids.

Rice Krispies® Wreaths
6 cups Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® cereal
10 ounce bag of mini marshmallows
3 tbsp butter
Green food coloring
Holly sprinkles
Candy bow
Icing
Silicone donut mold
Lightly grease your donut mold
Step one: melt 3 tablespoons of butter in the microwave for 45 seconds.
Step two: stir in 1 (10-ounce) bag of miniature marshmallows; evenly coat with melted butter. Heat in microwave for 1.5 minutes or until marshmallows are melted.
Step three: add green food coloring until you get the desired shade of green you’d like. I added about 3-4 drops.
Step four: Mix 6 cups of Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® cereal with your melted marshmallows. Spray your hands or a spoon with cooking spray and firmly press into donut mold.
Step five: remove from mold and decorate with holly and berry candy pieces. Use icing or frosting to add the candy bow to your wreath. Allow wreaths to sit for at least 30 minutes.
Another method is to cover a sheet pan with parchment paper and shape the wreaths with your hands. Lightly greasing your hands will help the process be less messy and make it easier for you to shape the wreaths.
