Ingredients

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • ½ cup citric acid
  • ½ cup Epsom salt
  • ½ cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil liquified
  • ¾ tsp water
  • 15-20 drops peppermint essential oil
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp cosmetic powder
  • isopropyl alcohol

Instructions

  • Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a small cup, combine coconut oil, water and essential oil.
  • Slowly mix liquids with dry ingredients while whisking together. The mixture may start to fizz a little, so it’s important to mix thoroughly right away and not use too much water.
  • Test your bath bomb mix by grabbing a handful in your fist (see video above).
  • Firmly press bath bomb mix into the mold; allow to dry overnight.
  • Carefully remove from mold by gently pressing upside down onto a towel or soft surface.
  • Mix 1/4 tsp black cosmetic powder with a few drops of isopropyl alcohol until it’s thick enough to brush on.
  • Use a small brush to paint the eyes, nose and ears. Wait until dry before storing.
