We spent the day making neighbor gifts yesterday then had a hot chocolate bar after dinner. The kids loved it! The toddler may have eaten more sprinkles than she actually got on her batch of treats, but if she had fun that’s all that matters right?
The chocolate dipped graham crackers were their favorite. Ahem, I may have eaten my fair share of them too.
We made extra spoons for our neighbor gifts. This year we’re giving away mugs with hot chocolate and chocolate dipped spoons.
Oh how I love holiday traditions. There’s something so magical about this time of the year. The holiday season is always so busy but lately I’ve been telling myself to slow down. To sit back and enjoy the traditions, cherish these memories with the kids, and teach them what the true meaning of Christmas is. How do you keep yourself from stressing about everything on your to do list during this busy time?
Oh these are cute! I'm glad your kids had so much fun with them. It's great that you're teaching them early that spending a ton isn't necessary to have a great gift. I've been running a mile a minute as well to get ready for the holidays since I've been making all my presents for people and to keep from stressing, I made out a little list for myself and gave myself a certain amount of time for each gift. That kept me from trying to be too perfectionist about them. Then, I made a surprise gift for my hubby that was sort of a gift for me too. I got 25 envelopes and spent November coming up with poems, sweet memories, and little "gifts" for him like taking him to a park or buying him a hot chocolate. I put them on the livingroom wall with doublesided tape and he's been taking one down each day. It causes me to just screech to a halt for a minute and just spend a little while being affectionate with the person I love most. In all this hectic Christmas prep, that's what I sometimes need to be reminded of and he has been moved to tears a few times over the thought put behind the gift. For me, all my stress just melts and we get to spend a little while enjoying the peace of the season together. :)

Love your picks. Email me about "how to dip in chocolate". I want to do that later in the week. I don't really stress out too much at Christmas. I'm almost 'done' except some cooking. I just hope for family fun and harmony at this point!
