Get your family excited for your next Disneyland or Disney World trip with this Printable Chalkboard Disney Countdown.
If we’re friends on Instagram you may have noticed that our family loves visiting Disneyland. We live about 5 hours away and with a season pass, we try to visit as often as possible. It’s become such a big part of our lives, so much that we now plan our vacations around our Disneyland trips. What’s funny is our friends often joke about me being a Disney fanatic, thinking I’m always planning a Disneyland trip in between dinner and bath time. They’re always a little shocked to hear my husband almost always plans our Disneyland travels. He’s the biggest Disneyland fan I’ve ever met! In addition to visiting many times a year as a family, we sometimes take trips sans kids to enjoy the rides together. Because seriously, going on Tower of Terror & Screamin together is so much fun!
We took our first trip as a family 5 years ago and I can’t ever see ourselves not going. I may cry a little when my kids get to an age where they feel too old to go. That won’t happen, right? I mean like Walt said, “adults are only kids grown up, anyway.” I want to continue to take them when they’re moody teenagers, when they come home from college, and then when we’re blessed with grandbabies I want to see the amazement in their little eyes when they first visit the park. Okay, I’m getting a little ahead of myself there but you get the point. We love Disneyland and hope it’s always a part of our family adventures. By the way no matter how many times you visit the park, it’s always fascinating to see it in person. Disneyland does an amazing job at creating “The Happiest Place on Earth” for all ages. Our absolute favorite time to visit is October-January. Both Halloween and Christmas time at the park is truly magical. Tip: don’t be afraid of the winter months. Rainy days are golden for visiting the park. Throw on a poncho and you’ll be surprised how quickly you’ll get on rides. The rain seems to keep crowds away, meaning you can get a lot done on those days.
If your family is planning a Disneyland or Disney World trip soon I have 4 printable countdowns for you. Two of them are made for using an open frame like the one pictured (these are $1 at IKEA). You can punch holes (about 3/4 of an inch down) and flip the countdown every day using the printable chalkboard numbers.
The other two options are great for using in a frame with glass. You can write down the number of days left until your Disney trip using an erasable marker. Both are sized to 4×6. Here’s a tip – if you don’t want to use a ton of ink from your printer, download the countdown and send it off to your favorite photo lab as a 4×6 print. That’s exactly what I’ve done for all of our countdowns in the past; it’s great for saving ink and getting bright glossy prints.

I signed up with Box, but can’t seem to download your printables. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. Any help would be lovely. Great job!
