Chalkboard Frame

Have you seen all the chalkboard frames around blogland? I’ve been wanting to make one for awhile now and when I seen colored chalkboard paint I knew it was finally time to get to business. I decided to use blue chalkboard paint and absolutely love it!
This old frame was laying around so I used white spray paint to give it a new look
I found the paint at Michaels.  I’ve never used chalkboard paint and waiting between coats was definitely hard. But trust me, you’ll want to wait or else your prior coat will come off the glass if it’s not fully dried ahem I may or may not have experienced that :)
In the end I decided it was too plain so I added some rosettes

What do you think? Have you used chalkboard paint? I’m thinking of several projects to make with my left over paint.

I really like this- especially the bright color. I hadn't seen the chalkboard spray paint around before- might have to try it.

I nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award- you can find the information about it on my blog!

Now I really need to get to Michael's to buy some of this paint. I've been drooling over Martha's new paint line, great to see another use for it! The rosettes are a great little touch too. Found you at "Hooking up with HOH"!

This looks great! I love the blue color, and the rosettes are a nice touch. I also can't leave a cute picture frame bare and usually add some little touch to it. :)

Thanks for sharing with So Sweet Sundays! :)
