Hi friends, we’re back from Disneyland! It was another memorable experience for our family. We are Disney fanatics so you’ve probably notice that we enjoy going as much as possible. This time we were able to go ice skating in Downtown Disney. I have to say my 3 year old was incredibly good at it. I’m pretty sure she was better at ice skating than I was. I’ll tell you more about it soon and share lots of pictures of both parks!

Today I want to share with you a gilded pine cone ornament I shared at Lines Across a couple of weeks ago. This simple gilded pine cone ornament is very easy to make and can quickly be replicated to fill an entire tree. Let me show you how to make it with only a few steps..

I’m a big fan of the metallic trend right so I decided to use Martha Stewart’s gold liquid gilding. This can be found at Michaels in the paint section.

Using a paint brush I painted only the tips of the pine cone then let it dry. You can get really creative with it and paint the entire pine cone or add some glitter. White micro no-hole beads to create a snow like effect would look great too!

Once the pine cone was dried I glued a bow to the top then tied a piece of string to hang it from.

That’s it! A quick and easy ornament that you can also use as a gift topper or add into your table decor. I made three gilded pine cones but I’m going to try to add a few more to cover our tree. Speaking of Christmas decor I’m still not finished with my Christmas vignette. Being sick than leaving on vacation has put me a little behind. Maybe I’ll keep my decor up a little longer this year to make up for it. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Those are lovely! I like the touch of gold instead of being drenched. Pine cones are my favorite holiday decorating element. I’m inspired! Thanks for sharing at the Sunday showcase!
