Having a daughter means I spend a lot of time playing dress up and having tea parties. What’s great is that my best friend has a daughter around the same age as mine, so we often arrange play dates for the girls. We recently had a princess tea party filled with delicious sweets and crafting.
The weather has been nearly 100 degrees and I knew an ice cream treat would be a great way to cool us down. So on last week we went shopping to buy some strawberry ice cream. Since this was a pink affair strawberry ice cream was a must. ;)
I tried the First Street strawberry and cookies & cream ice cream. This has to be the best strawberry ice cream I’ve ever had! We planned on adding more strawberries to it but it was perfect the way it was, with nearly a strawberry in every bite.
I made the girls strawberry ice cream cupcakes. I used the same ice cream cupcakes recipe I shared a few months ago. But the fun didn’t stop there. I also made ice cream sandwiches out of chocolate chip cookies. The ice cream sandwiches were for my best friend and I to enjoy. To make them I let the cookies & cream ice cream soften a little then spread it in between two chocolate chip cookies. I then rolled them in confetti sprinkles and placed them in the freezer to harden.
The setup was quite simple with a pink quilt laid across the yard for the girls to sit on. I have yet to buy my daughter a glass tea set but this musical play tea set worked perfectly. It even makes a pouring sound if you tilt it over.
How fun!! I love ice cream sandwiches and the sprinkles look adorable!
Thanks Tonia, ice cream sandwiches are the best! My kids are so used to them that whenever I bake cookies they automatically assume we’re having ice cream sandwiches. That’s probably not a good thing. :)
Great looking ice cream sandwiches! So easy and delish! Love the look on her face as she is eating her ice cream :)
Thanks Lyuba! That was the best picture I could get. She refuses to peel the wrapper off of cupcakes so she ends up with a messy face every time lol.
These are too cute! Last night I saw a little tea party bubble set that would go too cute with this :)
Oh my daughter would love that! Do you mind telling me where you saw it at?
Of course! It was in Walmart in the seasonal toys section where they have all the bubbles :) They had a Disney Princess themed tea set and a Minnie Mouse themed one. They were both so cute!
This looks like a lot of fun for your daughter!
She had a blast! Thanks again Sara! :)
Ice cream sandwiches are so fun. But I often forget about them. Thanks for the reminder!

What a beautiful treat! Looks like they enjoyed themselves and the ice cream sandwiches. Megan
So while I was scrolling your post, my 21-month old climbed up in my lap. She has the same little tea pot and cups so she got insanely excited that ‘her’ stuff was on the “puter” =) But I love the ice ream treats. They’d be a big hit at her birthday in September.
