Hey, hey there friends! I have something fun for you today – an easy Halloween pumpkin toss game that is sure to keep the kids entertained long after Fall is over.

Pumpkin Bean Bag Toss Game

Jo-Ann was generous and sent me a box filled with supplies to make my pumpkin toss game. I wanted to customize it by decorating the pumpkins a little all while sticking to the basic tutorial.

I began by carving a hole big enough for the bags to easily fall in, then painted the inside white (making sure to sand the rim and inside of the pumpkins). I then spray painted the exterior of the pumpkins using Rustoleum satin white. The inside is also coated with a couple of layers of Martha Stewart glow in the dark paint, which makes this the perfect Halloween party game!

To give them a finished look I added ribbon, rick, rack, and black polka dots. I got the idea to use vinyl dots from my talented friend, Kristyn. For the numbers I used my Silhouette to cut the leaves and numbers out. If you don’t have a die-cutting machine there’s a printable template in the tutorial.

It then says to attach the pumpkins to the foam board with wire but I just hot glued them on. Shhh..it’s our little secret! My kids played with this for hours and those babies are not going anywhere.

The kids were so excited to play with our Halloween pumpkin toss game!

Right now is there perfect time to make this game, all of the Halloween items should be on sale. We plan to store it in the garage and bring it out for a fun rainy day activity during the winter months.

Cute pumpkin toss project! What would I buy? Hard to say…I always check out the whole store when I go in there! ;) Probably something scrapbook-related…maybe a new EK punch or Cricut cartridge…I’d have to check what deals were on & what was available online! ;)

What a cute game! I love the pumpkin shaped beanbags! I can’t walk into Joann’s and not find something I want to buy! Lately I have been stocking up on supplies for my Christmas cards – although I am not ready to start thinking about that time of year yet!! Happy Halloween!

I would love to have the Martha Stewart doily edge punch. Or, some more scrapbooking paper {one can never have too much, right?}. Or, maybe something for my upcoming wedding? So hard to choose!

Lovely Blog post! I loved the game idea!

I would probably go to the store and buy some more yarn – its the time of year for coats for kids – so I would make up some mittens and hats to donate. :)
