I am crushing on HOUNDSTOOTH lately. Like big time. (You can check out all the houndstooth awesomeness I’ve been pinning here). When I seen this houndstooth fabric at Hobby Lobby I knew I had to do something with it. So I made a reverse applique shirt for my sweetie.
To make one grab a shape, letter, etc. and trace it onto the back of your fabric
Turn your shirt inside out, pin your fabric right side down. Make sure you don’t pin through the bottom layer of your shirt.
 Sew along your shape
Once you’re done cut off any excess fabric
Then turn your shirt right side out and cut the shirt fabric (so you’re cutting the front of the shirt)
It’s tearin’ up my heart when I’m with you…oh wait N*Sync was soooo 1999. ok back to the tutorial…

Try to cut as close to the stitch as possible
Oh Houndstooth how I heart you! So tell me, do you like houndstooth? I have to say I was never a fan of chevron *gasp* I know, I know did I really just say that? But I’m all over houndstooth..maybe just maybe I’ll warm up to chevron one of these days.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a fabulous week!
Please check out my party link page to see where I’m linking up

I subscribed in rss feed, because this information very much helpful for my stitching work, and sure to do in my all quilt work. I think it will be best for hiding unwanted designs also.

Thanks so much. My daughters have a t-shirt with a small hole and I wanted to try this, but I've never done it before, so I wasn't exactly sure how. Now I have a better idea. Thanks.

I've been appliqueing my baby girl's onesies and was trying to think what's appropriate for a grown up's shirt. This is! So cute. And it took me way to long to realize what "reverse applique" meant. Ha! Love it.
