Ocean Theme Week

Yikes! Sorry for being so late on this post. Things have been a little crazy in our household this past week. But we did continue with our Ocean Theme through the weekend and I’m finally coming around to share what we did. I apologize, I didn’t get pictures of everything but here are a few.
We made some handprint art to make a goldfish and octopus.

I decided to frame them in these shadow boxes and give them to hubby for Father’s Day.

The octopus is Jay’s and the goldfish is Madi’s.
Because hubby had to work, traveling to the beach wasn’t a possibility so we did the next best thing and took the kids to the lake a few mins away from our house.
They had a blast playing in the water and making sand castles
Used this printable found here to trace and color.
Made these yummy cupcakes
Looked at all the different shapes and textures of sea shells
And read every book in the house that involved the ocean
These are the activities I didn’t get pictures of:
  • Counted goldfish crackers on a piece of construction paper cut out in the shape of a fishbowl.
  • Colored a crab and octopus shaped mask (found at Joann’s for $1)
  • Fed the fish at Grandma and Grandpa’s house (Madi’s favorite)
We’re doing a Story Book theme this week. Check back soon for more details on that :)
