Finding Dory Popcorn – chocolate covered popcorn with mini edible Dory fish sprinkles.
Hello friends! I can’t believe summer vacation is almost over. It feels like we were just counting down the days to summer break then celebrating with a Finding Dory Party. This summer has definitely been a great one. We celebrated my youngest turning 5…FIVE! Where did the time go? We’re convinced he’s part fish and have spent most of our days in the pool or taking short day trips to the beach. His birthday request was a day in beautiful Carmel to swim in the ocean then visit the Monterey aquarium. It was perfect! Now that summer is coming to an end I’m slowly easing back into blogging and sharing new projects with you. This Finding Dory popcorn I’m sharing today made an appearance at our Dory Party and a few times over the summer during family movie night. The kids love the little Dory candy fish!
This chocolate covered popcorn recipe is fairly simple to make. I used Wilton candy melts and Finding Dory sprinkles. That’s it! Super easy and quick to make. I like to make my own popcorn on the stove but I’m sure you could use microwaveable popcorn as well. I use a large bowl to mix the popcorn and chocolate together than spread it over a parchment paper covered baking sheet. While the chocolate is still melted we added the Dory sprinkles and blues sprinkles then let it set. To hurry up the process you can pop it into the refrigerator for a few minutes.

The popcorn is adorable and would be great for any fish or fishing themed party or care package! Can I ask where you found the Dory sprinkles? I haven’t seen them!
How far in advance could I make this for a birthday party? Did you happen to have leftovers and try it the next day? If so, was it soft stale tasting or still hard from chocolate later? Thanks!!!
