Snowflake OREO Cookies – chocolate covered Oreo cookies shaped into snowflakes. Great party idea for the holidays and a Disney Frozen party theme!
Hey friends! Did you happen to watch Coco? My kids have been looking forward to it for months! It’s such a great movie with a beautiful message about family. The added bonus of Olaf’s Frozen Adventure was another reason we’ve been looking forward to its release. I know people make jokes about letting it go, but I honestly LOVE Frozen! The songs, the characters, the frozen themed crafts. I’m definitely happy about the new frozen short film. It inspired my latest holiday treat – Snowflake OREO Cookies. The chocolate covered Oreo cookies are made with only 2 ingredients and make a great party food idea for Disney Frozen parties. I also have a fun surprise to share at the bottom of the post – a Southern California Giveaway!!!

Supplies:
OREO Cookies
12 ounce bag Blue Candy Melts
Snowflake Mold
Step one: melt chocolate in a microwave safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds. If you can’t find blue melting chips, you can use white chocolate and gel based food color. NOTE: water based food coloring can harden your melted chocolate. Gel works great and is highly pigmented – a little goes a long way.
Step two: carefully pour melted chocolate into mold ¾ of the way. Press an OREO cookie in the center of each mold and top with remaining melted chocolate. Allow chocolate to harden completely before removing. This usually takes at least an hour or two, or you can place the mold in the refrigerator to speed up the process. Once the chocolate has set, turn the mold upside down and gently press the cookies out. A great way to give these as gifts is to wrap them individually in clear bags then add a festive ribbon.
Now for the fun part!

Funny how the snowflake oreo cookies and the snowflake bath bombs look identical. Will be dreadful if someone mistakes one for the other.
These look delicious! Really fun idea, and doesn’t seem to tricky either. Thanks for sharing, and great blog btw, I come past here often!
