To help keep the kids entertained and provide some educational activities this summer, I have come up with weekly themes. This week we’ve been focusing learning about the ocean and of course I had to make a special treat to reflect the theme.
Beach Cupcakes
I cheated *gasp* and used a cake box AND can frosting
It’s nice having a little helper available at all times…
I frosted them and tossed some crushed graham crackers on one side but they still needed something
Aha! Left over umbrellas from a luau party
These were perfect for our Ocean theme week. We’re finishing up our projects today and as soon as I get everything uploaded I’ll share them with everyone. Have a great weekend!!
Check out the awesome parties I’m linking up to here.
oh my goodness – i LOVE these and will totally be sharing the idea with my BFF who is having a beach theme inspired birthday for her little boy – THANK YOU for sharing:)
I love the idea of having theme weeks in the summer. I'm writing this idea down for next year when my boys are a little older. We still do fun things but they aren't quite ready for the theme idea – I find I spend way too much time planning and they don't really get it :-)
I want to do the same sort of thing for fathers day just have it be green and look like different holes at a golf course!! Saw it on martha and it was AMAZING!!
Oh! What a cute idea!
Wow those look so cute and yummy. You are always amazing me. I wanted to let you know that I featured your Cream puffs recipe on my "This week's pinterest loves #4" post today on my blog. Go and check it out, see all the lovely things I said about it, visit and stay awhile and don't forget to grab my button saying you were featured. thanks

Hello…. coming over from Tatertots and Jello Linky : ) I saw your cupcakes, and they made me think of last summer when I made the same thing for my little boy's 2nd B-day party with our Triplet neighbors who turned 4. Cute! Love your blog and Congrats on the baby and graduating.
