Are you ready for an Easter/Spring treat? How about coconut bird nests?
These are so easy to make, you only need two ingredients for each kind. I used a 7 oz bag of sweetened coconut and melted chocolate chips for one, and another 7 oz bag of coconut mixed with one egg.
Start off with 1/4 cup of melted chocolate chips and add coconut. You can always add more chocolate chips or coconut until you get the right texture.
In a separate bowl use the same method for the egg mixture.
Shape them into nest. The egg mixture was a little harder to work with so I rolled them into balls and pressed down in the center. Place on a lined cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes. Once they’re golden brown remove from oven and allow them to cool.
I forgot to take pictures of the shaped chocolate nest but you put them on parchment paper and stick them in the fridge until the chocolate hardens. These didn’t take very long at all. Then add your favorite egg shaped candy. I think we’ve already established my love for these cadbury mini eggs :)
My favorite were the chocolate nest, they remind me of Mounds candy bars. I have a few more Easter treats in the works so plan on seeing them soon. Thanks for stopping by!

Hey Crystal, I love your little birds nests. They turned out so cute. When I saw your egg one, I actually thought for a second it was hashbrowns, lol. That would be cute too, just need to come up with suitable eggs, clearly not candy, he he.

I loved it so much I FEATURED you, I hope it puts a smile on your face.

Come grab a button girl, and display it proudly!
