Double chocolate blueberry trail mix recipe. A sweet combination of Brookside dark chocolate Acai with Blueberries, coconut, white chocolate chips, pumpkin seeds and almonds. It’s no secret that I love baking, especially anything with chocolate involved. Although my dessert recipes probably make you think otherwise, I do try to live a balanced lifestyle with plenty of organic foods, natural ingredients, and nutrient rich foods. One of my all time favorite snacks is trail mix. The hubs and I often make a batch of trail mix on Sunday then package it in snack size bags to enjoy throughout the week. Having snacks readily available is a must for me or else I’ll eat everything in sight..true story. We try a variety of ingredients in our trail mix and every so often sneak in chocolate too. This comes in handy when I want dessert after dinner, a handful of trail mix with a few chocolate pieces usually does the trick!
The Brookside dark chocolate pieces are my new favorite mix in. Have you tired them? The acai with blueberries is delicious! I’ve noticed a few friends talk about them on instagram this year and I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to finally try it. Seriously, they’re SO good! They’re a combination of a real fruit juice soft center and dark chocolate. My kids liked the Dark Chocolate Pomegranate, I like the Dark Chocolate Acai with Blueberry the best.

- 1 cup almonds
- 1/2 cup Brookside Dark Chocolate Acai with blueberies
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 shredded coconut
- 2 tablespoons roasted pumpkin seeds

This looks great, but no coconut for me!
