I went shopping earlier this week for our movie night and wanted to try a new recipe. I decided to make peanut butter filled chocolate cupcakes with ganache. Are you surprised? You know how we love our peanut butter and chocolate mix around here. ;) I adapted the recipe from Food Network to make mine semi-homemade.
To make your own peanut butter filled cupcakes bake your cupcakes according to package. Once they have cooled hollow out the center. I used the back of a large Wilton tip and found it worked great!
How cute are these popcorn boxes? In case you’re wondering I found them at Hobby Lobby next to the carnival party supplies. The hot dog holders are in the same section.
We made these “cars” out of boxes. They’ve never been to a drive-in so this was fun for them. My son has plans for his. He wants to add headlights, backlights, and a steering wheel. Apparently I didn’t get creative enough with the wrapping paper and paper plates. :)
We began our movie night watching my daughter’s favorite movie, Beauty and the Beast.Â
Ok… You are so talented and such a cool mom! The cupcakes look to die for, but I think I love the cars the best! My kiddos would love an evening like this! Thanks for sharing!
Take care,
Trish

I adore parents who make time for bonding with their kids. I’m sure your kids had fun, especially with the cupcakes. Yum!
