Do you remember playing memory card games as a child? I remember playing this Backyardigans memory game with my son when he was a toddler. I searched high and low for that game the other day but it’s nowhere to be found. So I decided to make one for my toddler daughter, a Halloween Memory Game of course. I’m teaching her about same/different and think this is the perfect tool to help her learn.
To make it I used scrapbook paper and free clip art using microsoft word.
After gluing them together I decided to take them down to Staples and have them laminated because you know a toddler + paper don’t go very well together (or maybe that’s just mine?)
She loves it and has even made sure it goes over to grandpa’s house with her. She keeps bringing me the cards and ask “are these the same?” This was such an easy project and would be great to recreate for Christmas too.
Thanks for stopping by, have a fabulous weekend!

i love this idea. My daughter just starting playing 'memory games' and she loves them! thanks for the easy idea.
Adorable! Great job, I think I'll make one, but later. Now he will just destroy them (yes even laminated, never underestimate this toddler) or loose them all. Seriously, don't know where things go here.
Love the game!
A really fun version you have created! So nice stopping by to visit with you!

I have the same pumpkin on my Halloween alphabet wall. I wish my Moose understood the concept of games…boo.
Saving this for next year, Crystal!
This a cute game I can make for the girls…I would love for you to share your link at my "Anything Goes Link Party" https://jeana-marie.blogspot.com/2011/10/anything-goes-link-party.html
Forgot to add…use clear contact paper instead of laminating! I use it all the time for the boys, and it's WAY cheaper.
I smell a blog pot tip coming on…lol…
